It’s time for Macmillan’s annual World’s Biggest Coffee Morning and local business Délices are ready to bake up a storm to help the charity.
On Friday 30th September they’ll be selling two specially themed products and donating the profits to charity.
The shop’s boulangère, Géraldine Perrier Latour, will be baking a deliciously chocolatey cocoa bread with an ‘M’ on the top to represent Macmillan. Meanwhile, chef pâtissière Diana Woo is creating green-themed meringues françaises.
The cocoa bread will cost £1.50 per roll and the meringues françaises will be £1 each, with all profits from sales on the day going to Macmillan.
‘We’re really happy to be involved in this fund-raising event,’ says Diana. ‘My mother had breast cancer but recovered thanks to an early diagnosis, so Macmillan are particularly close to my heart. We hope lots of people will come in on the day and enjoy our special offerings.’
